The Curse of Red

We hold true to our promise. Today we travel to Costa Rica to bring you María Alejandra Hong’s The Curse of RED. Told in 10 images, it revisits a very familiar folk tale, puts it into a blender and presents a mythic purée for your delectation.

Little Red lives with Mom and Grandma, ignorant is she to all the perils that surround her. The story begins when she wakes up in a strange place. Unbeknownst to her she has been sold to the three bad wolves. Red’s life is about to take a series of strange turns, and she goes to meet a Shakesperean destiny.

Thanks to María Alejandra Hong for her lovely and warped piece.
