School bus butt,
two wide lights, two narrow–
gargoyle’s mouth

☯️

Gnarled barn,
one hand to the door…
hope

☯️

tanka:
…and I’ll eat
(‘Net says)
five live spiders
in my sleep…
this year

☯️

Winter wind…
dog hides its nose
in the snowdrops

☯️

Morning…
seagull flaps only
when it must

☯️

tanka:
Winter’s child
(a toddler),
baby doll’s
arm
in fist

☯️

Sunday…
beating out rugs
between rains

☯️

A crack in the moon!
No…
a crack in my window

☯️

My kiss
cannot reach…
stardust

☯️

Hanging judge
peels…
from the canvas

☯️

Truck sound,
bound south, blends…
in wind shear

☯️

The wind
ticks only when it wants–
mock the clock!

☯️

Summer dusk…
stone face
slowly cools

☯️

Night,
a fire truck’s *WHONK*…
lone dinosaur

☯️

Cold dawn…
full moon smeared
behind clouds

☯️

Storm of
cherry blossoms…
flaking waves

☯️

That drain chortles,
agreeing
to something…

☯️
