Spring turns…
one red tulip
leads the yellows

☯️

Midnight madman!
Now I can’t sleep
without his screaming

☯️

Storm crow caw
presides!
(But where’s the rain?)

☯️

Spring won’t turn…
two ducks
wait for the bus

☯️

Spring won’t turn…
fly at the window
begs my heat

☯️

The prisoner
near midnight…crickets
cross his chains

☯️

tanka:
The slap
green on green
of that waste dumpster flipped
by a toddler

☯️

tanka:
The thud
of horse hay
hitting snow
past the fence,
nearly sunset

☯️

Silent hut…
deaf monk rings
no bell

☯️

Alone
here…that must
be my blood

☯️

Street light!
How it stands ramrod
for the green

☯️

Spring turns…
open windows for air
at the firehouse

☯️

He won’t give,
he won’t give…a pigeon
pecks grass

☯️

Spring won’t turn…
grey balloon lost
in grey sky
